InLiner F Board is a laminated mineral wool board, finished with a fireline plasterboard lining. The mineral wool is extremely dense, rigid and high performance (Lambda = 0.032), meaning that it is perfect for pitched roof application on rafters, where rigidity and strength is needed the most. InLiner F Board is 62.5mm thick (50mm insulation + 12.5mm Plasterboard), and is 2400mm x 1200mm. InLiner F is suitable as a 1 board layer solution for pitched roofs in the field of structure where 30 mins fire resistance is a requirement, including 2 or 3 storey residential dwellings with loaded trussed roofs, per TGD B 2017 and May 2020 Timber Frame Circular from the Department of Building Standards.
Mineral wool has long been used between rafters as the preferred material to be used in pitched roof applications. With InLiner, it is now possible to put mineral wool on the rafters as well, due to the high thermal performance offered by InLiner. InLiner means a reduced installation time, as the plasterboard goes onto the substrate at the same time as the mineral wool. It means less wastage and it means superior acoustic performance over other materials. This is especially key is the space being build is for habitation (e.g. a loft). InLiner A has been independently verified for strength and robustness, so you can be assured that you can finish the job to as high as standard as you would with any other materials.
*tested in accordance with EN 1365: Part 2 for 30 minutes resistance to fire in a pitched roof application. This performance value is indicative based on a 44mm rafter width. For specific calculations please contact our Technical Team on NI 0845 3990159 or ROI 1800 744480.
