ISOVER Multi-Comfort House

The ISOVER Multi-Comfort House is a construction concept for new buildings and renovation which fits for residential and non-residential buildings and can be applied in all climatic zones.

It allows great flexibility in building design and it is compatible with all types of constructions: massive or light-weight, onside or pre-fabricated. Furthermore it is achievable with reasonable costs and economically viable due to its very high energy savings and reduced need for maintenance. Over all Multi-Comfort House provides excellent comfort of living.

ISOVER Multi-Comfort House…
  • is designed to reduce energy demand for heating and cooling to a minimum
  • is based on the passive house concept, combining bioclimatic design and a high-performing building envelope
  • offers optimal thermal comfort and related energy savings
  • offers excellent acoustic and visual comfort
  • ensures permanently high indoor air quality
  • ensures fire protection and durability of the construction
  • is sustainable by taking into account environmental, economic and social factors over its complete life cycle.
 
The ISOVER Multi-Comfort House offers a wealth of advantages:
  • The most important advantage for user is the comfort – all construction surfaces have similar temperature, there is no air convection and due to controlled ventilation the air quality in the building is excellent
  • Reducing the heat energy demand by the factor 10 (average of European houses have a heat energy demand about 160 kWh/m²a and ISOVER Multi-Comfort House has 15kWh/m²a
  • CO2 pollution is also reduced by the factor 10.
 

How does a Multi-Comfort House provides permanent fresh air?


Completely different from traditional window ventilation, the air in the Multi-Comfort House always remains fresh automatically, thanks to the Controlled Ventilation System, produced with a minimum of energy, is permanently circulated through all rooms – virtually soundless and imperceptible.

The controlled ventilation system with heat recovery is usually planed on the way that the warm exhaust air is collected in the kitchen and the bathroom and is conducted to the recuperation. The fresh air from outside is “preheated” through the earth collector and get in the indoor heat exchanger the last “touch” of energy. This way the temperature of the fresh air could, for example, increase from -10°C to e.g. +14°C or even higher.

The preheated fresh air is conducted directly to bedrooms and living room and indirectly to kitchen and bathroom again.
