Isover is the first to join The Pallet LOOP's reusable pallet scheme in Ireland
Isover has become the first building materials manufacturer and distributor in Ireland to partner with circular economy pallet supplier, The Pallet LOOP, and switch to reusable pallets to significantly reduce pallet waste.
The move further supports Isover’s commitment to achieving net zero carbon by 2050, and forms part of its wider sustainability roadmap, which aims to minimise waste, re-use materials and tackle emissions to reduce environmental impact at every stage of build.
Isover will roll out The Pallet LOOP scheme from December when the instantly identifiable, green-coloured LOOP pallets will go into circulation for insulation products that are supplied on a 1200 mm x 1200 mm pallet.
The Pallet LOOP scheme is straight-forward to use and designed to deliver significant benefits to companies receiving materials on pallets. Once LOOP’s distinctive green pallets are free of goods, our customers should stack them up safely and arrange a collection through The Pallet LOOP’s island-wide service. Using The Pallet’s LOOP’s collections service, which is being delivered across Ireland by CJ Sheeran, works out cheaper than putting pallets in skips. Plus, for every green-coloured pallet put back in the LOOP, there is a payment of up to €4 / £4 available for companies to help incentivise returns.
