Saint-Gobain is Proud Sponsor of the IGBC’s Build Green Now 2025
We are delighted to be a main sponsor of Build Green Now 2025, the Irish Green Building Council’s flagship conference on sustainable construction, which took place in Dublin’s Mansion House May 15th. This year’s theme, "Building a Circular Ireland: A Roadmap for a Resource-Efficient Built Environment", aligns with the Saint-Gobain commitment toward a 33% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050.
The conference featured expert-led discussions on circularity, resource efficiency, and emerging policy developments. A highlight of the day was the launch of the Building a Circular Ireland roadmap by the IGBC’s Pat Barry. Keynote speakers included Carolina Montano Owen of the World Green Building Council, who provided a European perspective on the circular economy, as well as contributions from Kai Liebetanz (UK Green Building Council), Philip Comerford (UCD), Helen Shaw (Athena Media), and Minister of State for Forestry Michael Healy-Rae. Topics ranged from bio-based materials and reuse strategies to the embodied impact of materials and the optimisation of existing building stock.
With a mix of keynote speakers and panel discussions Build Green Now 2025 offered insights for driving innovation and collaboration across the construction industry. We are proud to stand alongside fellow leaders in sustainability and to play our part in shaping a greener, more resource-efficient built environment for Ireland and beyond.
